Dhulia is a small town in Maharashtra state. Essentially a university town, most of its population comprises of students from out state towns and cities. The Swaminarayan Chhatralay in Dhulia was established by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in June 1998 to provide an ideal academic and moral ambience for students. The serene, pollution-free environment and the state-of-the-art facilities make the Chhatralay into a veritable academic and moral oasis.

Admission
Date: Annual admission commences from July.
Procedure: Admission form and personal interview.

Accomodation
Comprises of 40 rooms to accommodate 120 students. The Chhatralay provides all facilities for the holistic development of students. The modern and hygienic kitchen facilities provide hot, vegetarian meals. The Chhatralay also has a general store that provides stationery and consumer goods at subsidized rates.

Recreation
To entertain the students and encourage bonhomie, the Chhatralaya's facilities and grounds are delightful. The students play cricket, volleyball, basketball, kabbadi, kho-kho and table tennis.

Library
To help attain academic excellence, the library is well furnished and equipped with over 1000 books. Besides the dorm facilities, three reading halls provide an exclusive environment for concentrated study.

Computer Center
A state-of-the-art computer center has 15 computers that teach a variety of computer courses. Professional facilities teach 'O' level courses accredited by the AICTE, Government of India.

Activities
Extra-curricular social activities like collection of relief materials for the earthquake affected, and programs for de-addiction, are carried our regularly, under the guidance of saints. Visits to holy places are organised, and festivals like Holi and Diwali are celebrated with exuberance and gaiety. Music and cultural programs are organised to channelise the creative energy of the hostelers.

Opinions
Through the inspiration and efforts of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the residing sadhus, the Chhatralay has earned a unique name in the hostel community in Dhulia. It has welcomed a variety of social and political dignitaries. The opinions of students and dignitaries are as follows:

The Chhatralay, without disturbing the academic pursuits of students, also moulds them in serving society. The socio-spiritual activities include relief work, fund raising for disaster relief programs, deaddiction campaigns, festival celebrations and tours to pilgrim places.

To channelize the creative energies and talents of students, music and cultural programs are organized on enthusiastic scales.
