WHAT IS 'A' LEVEL?

'A'-Level is an Advanced Diploma, that evidences the candidate's skill as a programmer; the course undergone at the certified institute shall not be less than a year in duration and should be equivalent to a full time effort, of an average student, of a year.

1 YEAR FULL TIME DAILY 7 HOURS
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
A Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma after 10+2 OR
Government recognized polytechnic engineering diploma after class 10 OR
Graduate in any displine OR
'O' level certified
'A' LEVEL SYLLABUS:
The syllabus for ' A ' Level has been diversified. The diversified syllabus, effective from January 2003, consists of eight compulsory papers and two elective papers. The structure of the diversified 'A' Level syllabus is indicated below:

A3-R3 Programming and problem sloving through 'C'
A4-R3 Computer Organization
A5-R3 Structured System Analysis and Design
A6-R3 Data Structure through C Language
A7-R3 Introduction to Data Base Management Systems
A8-R3 Basics of OS, Unix & Shell programming
A9-R3 Data Communication and Networks
Elective (One subject to be chosen out of the following subjects)
A10.1-R3 Introduction to Object Oriented Programming and C++
A10.2-R3 Introduction to object Oriented Programing through JAVA
A10.3-R3 Computer Graphics
ONE PROJECT based on any of the above subjects
