Heir
to Akshar Jnan:
Once
as he failed to reach Vadtal during a festival, Pragji Bhakta
came to Sarangpur in search of Swami. At that time the Swami was
at Khambhada. With great difficulty Pragji arrived in Khambhada.
The Swami became very happy to see Pragji Bhakta because at that
very moment he was thinking of him. Under the pretext that he
felt hungry, the Swami asked one of his attendants to bring some
bread. He took a piece and then gave the rest to Pragji Bhakta.
Next day early in the morning, Swami set off Sarangpur. Swami
broke his journey and got down from his cart near for Narayankund
to answer a call of nature and perform ablutions. While Pragji
Bhakta was pouring water, Swami told him in private, "Pragji
I am over flowing with jnan but I have yet to find a worthy person
to receive it."
Seeing the mood and love of Swami, Pragji Bhakta said, "Swami,
can't you give that jnan to me?"
Swami replied with a smile, "It can be given only to a valiant
soul who has control over all his senses and is prepared to surrender
himself completely to me."
Pragji Bhakta took Swami seriously and resolved to be worthy of
the Swami's blessings. Swami also saw in him a worthy disciple
and blessed him.
