Information
& Guidelines
Mandir/Museum entrance
from the Haveli (wooden) doors only.
The Mandir is a house
of God. Being a very sacred place, all visitors are required to abide by
the following rules and regulations applicable to all areas including the
Mandir, Museum and Haveli:
- Conduct : Please do not touch any
of the carvings within the Mandir, Museum or Haveli. To maintain the
spiritual atmosphere observe silence inside the Mandir and the Museum.
- Dress Code : As this is a place of
worship, visitors are requested to abide by the following dress code:
All clothing must cover shoulders and knees. Wraps will be provided
for visitors wearing shorts, short skirts, or sleeveless shirts. Shoes
must be removed upon entering.
- Restrooms : are located inside the
Haveli near the shoe-coat racks.
- Photo-Videography
:
Photography and videography inside the building is strictly
prohibited.
- Cell Phones : Please switch off all
cell phones prior to entering the Mandir. Cell phones with cameras
must not be used to take photographs inside the Mandir, Museum and
Haveli.
- Food &
Drink: No
food or drinks are allowed inside the Mandir, Museum and Haveli.
Please discard any chewing gum in the bin provided before entering.
- Smoking and
Alcohol :
Smoking, tobacco, alcohol and drugs are not allowed anywhere in the
complex.
- Parking : Free parking available.
Do not park in the fire-zones and in front of any of the building. The
management does not assume any responsibility for vehicles parked on
the premises.
- Elevator : facility available for
those who need it.
- Entrance : Entrance to the Mandir
and Haveli is free.
Museum: Suggested donations Adult - $5.00, Senior/child (6-16) -
$3.00.
- Guide : Guides are available for
schools / groups. (Advance notice required and subject to
availability. Write to tours.toronto@canada.baps.org).
- Security : For the safety of all
visitors, all activities in the Complex are monitored and recorded by
video surveillance.
- Pets are not allowed inside the
complex.
- Donations: Visitors wishing to make donations
towards the maintenance of the Complex or to the charity work
undertaken by BAPS in fields as diverse as education, environment,
social relief, medicine, preserving heritage and spiritual upliftment
are requested to utilize the donation boxes or contact the Reception
Counter in the Haveli Lobby. Cheques can be made payable to
‘BAPS Inc.' Tax receipt will be issued for amounts over $15.00.
Please Note -
Management reserves the right to refuse admission to those who do not
follow the above listed guidelines.
The Management also reserves the right to cancel or alter any visit or
close the Complex or part of the premises without prior notice. Every
effort will be made to avoid any inconvenience.
