Pramukh Swami Maharaj's 82nd birthday celebration was held on 7 December on a mega-scale in the small town of Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha district, Gujarat.
The assembly commenced at 5:30 p.m. with prayers. Pujya Dr. Swami and Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami addressed the festival audience on the glory and greatness of Swamishri and his power to solve mundane problems and inner conflicts of mankind.
The festival agenda also had colorful and devotional dances performed by BAPS children and teenagers.
Swamishri delivered his blessings in response to 5 questions that were spread intermittently throughout the 3.5 hour celebration.

Prior to each blessing, video clippings on each of Swamishri's above achievements were shown on giant screens.
In honor of his 82nd birthday a mantra pushpanjali and mass arti were performed by 100,000 devotees. Different, colorful garlands were offered to Swamishri by the senior sadhus.
The entire celebration was relayed live to 160 countries in Asia, Africa, U.K., Europe and America.
