Satsang Shibirs
16 April to 22 May 2003, India

"The extent to which satsang is practiced with regularity, depth and sincerity is the extent to which true happiness is experienced."
- Pramukh Swami Maharaj

From 16 April to 22 May 2003, in Gujarat and other states, 76 Satsang Shibirs were held in 29 locations based on the above message from Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Held in groups of 7 at the various venues, 41,988 male and female devotees aged between 25 and 55 participated in these shibirs. In each 2-day shibir, 17 hours of spiritual guidance was imparted by senior and learned sadhus to the devotees. In all, over 80 sadhus contributed by delivering speeches and answering questions on a variety of spiritual and practical topics. In each shibir, devotees were guided on the importance and necessity of daily ghar sabha, satsang reading, arti, observance of satsang niyams, personal daily puja, singing of chestha and discrimination in watching TV.

During the shibir, discussion sessions were held to re-inforce and clarify the guidance given by the sadhus.

On the morning of the second day, a collective personal puja session was held to guide devotees on the correct procedure.

The shibirs were appreciated by all, inspiring devotees to strengthen their footing in satsang.
