Around 350 devotees gathered on the evening of 28 May 2006 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lenasia, South Africa to celebrate Yogi Jayanti. The sabha took the form of a veteran satsangi from the time of Yogiji Maharaj relating the glory of Yogiji Maharaj to his grandson. The assembly also included speeches from balaks and a drama based on one of Yogiji Maharaj’s popular folk tales, ‘The Ten Fools’.

The celebration concluded with youths presenting a kavvali with bhajans singing the glory of Yogiji Maharaj.
