Jay Jay Akshar
-Purushottam – Part 2
Saturday 29 September 2007

The second part of ‘Jay Jay Akshar-Purushottam’ continued in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj on the evening of Saturday 29 September 2007 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London. The Haveli had filled to its capacity well in advance of the resumption of the programme as the excitement from the previous evening had built great expectation and anticipation.

Following the wonderful depiction of the history of Bochasan from the time of Bhagwan Swaminarayan the previous evening, the production moved forward to the work of Shastriji Maharaj in his tireless quest to spread the glory of Akshar-Purushottam.

Shastriji Maharaj’s sacrifices, hardships and dedication were dramatised with majestic performances. As the murtis of Akshar-Purushottam were installed in the central shrines of the Mandir, and the first ‘Jay’ was heartily hailed inside the Haveli, Swamishri waved his arms aloft in an expression of joy. After the ‘pratishta arti’ was performed by Swamishri and the sadhus, the grand finale was experienced with a specially choreographed dance for the occasion.

Involving a total cast of almost 200, the moving two-day episode of the history of Bochasan and BAPS provided the thousands who had gathered for the event with a memorable journey through the passage of the Sanstha’s rich history, and paid tribute to Shastriji Maharaj’s mission to propagate the truth.
