A Parshad Diksha ceremony was held in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, on the morning of Sunday 14 October 2007. The ceremony commenced at 6.30am before Swamishri’s puja inside the Haveli. Thousands of devotees witnessed two of London’s yuvaks being initiated at the hands of Swamishri.
The first was Kaushal Patel, of South London, who had completed his degree in Economics & Economic History from the reputed London School of Economics. He was named Ramanuj Bhagat.
The second was Yogesh Patel, also from South London, who graduated with a Law degree from Kingston University. He was named Parth Bhagat.
Swamishri gave the guru mantra to each new parshad and offered his personal blessings to their respective fathers, Chandravadanbhai and Chandrakantbhai. The mothers of the new initiates, Sarojben Patel and Dakshaben Patel, respectively, were also warmly honoured in the assembly. |
