‘Param Anand’
National Yuvak-Yuvati Shibir 2007
Saturday 6 October 2007

‘Param Anand’, the supreme, divine and eternal bliss of God was the theme for the national Yuva-Yuvati shibir, attended by 1,150 yuvaks and yuvatis in the presence of Pramukh Swami Maharaj on Saturday 6 October 2007.

Swamishri opened the shibir by lighting a divo and thus enlightening the participants with ‘Param Anand’ in their lives. Following a detailed explanation of the theme by Anandpriya Swami, the large audience separated into smaller groups for goshti sessions, discussing the obstacles from realising true happiness.

An inspiring video presentation illustrating Swamishri enjoying the bliss of ‘Param Anand’ provided a breathtaking example for the yuvaks and yuvatis, which was elaborated further by Gnaneshwar Swami, who underlined the reasons to strive for ‘Param Anand’.

A practical account of ‘Param Anand’ was provided in an informative question-answer session with Tyagvallabh Swami, who narrated touching episodes from his life with Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

The afternoon sessions were conducted in classroom-style groups where the delegates were provided with an interactive opportunity to understand the intellectual and spiritual concepts of attaining ‘Param Anand’, namely ‘Divyabhav’, ‘Karta-Harta’, ‘Mahima Drashti’ and ‘Atma Gnan’.

The concluding session of the shibir was a drama entitled ‘Param Anandno Khajano’, interspersed with bhajans, prasangs and videos in the presence of Swamishri, who was welcomed to the evening session of the shibir with a specially choreographed dance for the occasion.

Swamishri expressed his divine moods throughout his presence, and interacted with the performers at regular intervals, offering ‘Param Anand’ to all. In his blessings, Swamishri expressed his delight at the programme, stating that such was its greatness, the outside world was forgotten, and it was as if we were actually in Akshardham. Swamishri also offered his advice on the cycle of happiness and misery that one faces in life, and departed the Haveli to an explosion of confetti.
