Bal Mandal 50th Anniversary

1 June 2003, Sunday, Edison, NJ:

The Edison B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the mottos "Bhagwaan Sahunu Bhalu Karo," "Bhagwaan Bhaji Levaa," and "Yuvako Maaru Raday Chhe" to glorify the 111th Birthday of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj in the presence of Pujya santos and haribhaktos.

A series of kirtans sang the praises of Yogiji Maharaj. The audience learned the selfless love of Yogiji Maharaj towards yuvaks, and theirs towards Him through a speech given by a kisore. A video presentation showed the divine traits of Yogi Bapa.

Pujya Yagnavallabh Swami delivered the keynote speech outlining the necessities of worshipping God and how Yogiji Maharaj exemplified such qualities. Pujya Yagnavallabh Swami performed a deep praagatya and blessed the local Bal Karyakars in order to launch the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the establishing of the Bal Mandal by Pujya Yogiji Maharaj. The Bal Mandal also performed a short drama for this occasion.


1 June 2003, Sunday, Toronto, Canada:

The Toronto B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the 111th Janma Jayanti of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj.

Considering how much Yogi Bapa loved kirtans, the Bal, Kishore and Yuvak Mandals performed a kirtan aaraadhna singing the glory of Yogiji Maharaj and even the kirtans that were utmost dear to Him.

The Vadil Mandal gave an insight of Yogiji Maharaj's divine personality. A video presentation showed one and all the oneness of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj and Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The Toronto Mandal exemplified the idea of samarpan by performing an amazing twelve tulas of Harikrishna Maharaj exceeding the expection of eleven. This brought to light the fact that every haribhakta is ready to do anything and everything to make Swamishri's vision of a Shikharbandh Mandir and adjoining Haveli a reality.

The San Jose B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the 111th birthday of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj with great pomp and enthusiasm.

A series of kirtans performed by the Yuvak Mandal ran parallel to a slide-show of pictures of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj. A speech outlined His selfless affection for the youth and His visions which were set far off into the future. This was followed by a kirtan performed by the Bal Mandal depicting Yogi Bapa's motto, "Bhagwaan Bhaji Levaa." The keynote speech depicted how Yogi Bapa's life and work exemplified "Guru Bhakti," "Vachan Maa Vishvaas," "Gurumaa Divyabhaav," "Nirmaanipanu," and "Shudh Vartan." Shlokas performed by the Shishu Mandal and a video presentation showing the ever-presence of Maharaj in our guru parampara capped off the evening program.

 


25 May 2003, Sunday, Clifton, NJ:

The Clifton B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the auspicious occasion of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj's Janma Jayanti. A series of kirtans and speeches performed by the Bal, Kishore, and Yuvak Mandals depicted the life and glory of Yogi Bapa. Balaks aged 3 to 4 recited 10 Swamini Vaato reminding us all how much Yogi Bapa loved mukhpaat.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2003, the tithi celebration of the 111th birthday of Yogiji Maharaj was held in the presence of santos. Pujya Amrutcharit Swami spoke about how Yogi Bapa always had divya drashti towards everyone and everything, and he gave guidance as to how we can imbibe such qualities of Yogiji Maharaj in our own lives. The evening concluded with a video showing the divine prophecy of "700 sadhus" at the hands of Pramukh Swami" given in 1968.

The Cleveland B.A.P.S. center celebrated the Yogiji Maharaj Janma Jayanti Samaiyo themed "Bhagwan Bhaji Leva" and also inaugurated the "Golden Jubilee of Bal-Mandal" celebration.

Everyone experienced Yogiji Maharaj's jivan sutra through a series of kirtans and dramas. One such drama depicted how He actively involved young children in Satsang. The whole stage was decorated like a beautiful Gujrati village transporting people back to our motherland.

The Augusta B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the divine occasion of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj's 111th birthday in the presence of devotees, and included the participation of the Savannah Satsang Mandal.

The audience discovered the greatness and selfless love of Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj through a series of kirtans and speeches. The Savannah Yuvak Mandal staged a gameshow called "Who Wants To Go To Akshardham?" The Augusta Kishore Mandal presented a multi-media display named "Yogi Darshan."

On Sunday, May 25, 2003, the Charlotte B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the auspicious occasion of Yogi Jayanti themed "Yogiji Maharaj ni Jivan Bhaavnaa". Through a series of melodious kirtans, multi-media presentations, and thought-provoking speeches, the audience was enlightened with how Yogiji Maharaj created and sustained spiritual virtues in man, and destroyed their inhuman, demonic natures. The program was topped off with mahaprasad prepared by the balika, kishori, yuvati & suvasini mandal.

On Tuesday, May 27, 2003, the tithi date of Yogiji Maharaj's birthday, haribaktos attended the special evening sabha. Dr. K.C. Patel, to whom Yogi Maharaj had given ashirvad to establish Satsang in the United States, delivered a powerful speech outlining who Yogiji Maharaj was and how powerful His sankalps of a mandir in Delhi and of 700 sadhus were. He also mentioned how both sankalps were brought to fruition by Pramukh Swami Maharaj this year. Two beautiful cakes were offered to Thakorji.

Cherry Hill B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the felicitous occasion of Brahmswaroop Yogiji Maharaj's 111th birthday in the presence of Pujya Haridarshan Swami and Pujya Bhaktiswaroop Swami.

The program illuminated one and all on the life and philosophies of Yogiji Maharaj through a series of kirtans, speeches, and videos. The Cherry Hill Bal Mandal Karyakars also kicked off the Golden Anniversary celebration of the establishing of a Bal Mandal by Yogiji Maharaj which culminates in May 2004.

24 May 2003, Saturday, Houston, TX:

Houston B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the auspicious occasion of Shri Yogiji Maharaj's Janma Jayanti. The cultural program included kirtans and speeches performed by balaks, kishores and yuvaks glorifying the life of Shri Yogiji Maharaj. The program concluded with a small graduation ceremony of high school and college students where each graduate was given a memorabilia for his or her outstanding dedication to mandir and academic achievements.



31 May 2003, Saturday, Washington DC:

Washington B.A.P.S. Mandir celebrated the 111th birthday of Pujya Yogiji Maharaj in the presence of Pujya Yagnavallabh Swami, Pujya Haridarshan Swami and Pujya Bhaktiswarup Swami.

Through a series of kirtans and speeches performed by balaks, kishores, and yuvaks, and multimedia presentations, the attendees were enlightened with the divine virtues of Yogiji Maharaj. Bhagvat Prasad, a kishore, spoke on one of Yogiji Maharaj's mottos, "Yuvako Maaro Hraday Chhe." The keynote speech was given by Pujya Yagnavallabh Swami outlining another motto, "Bhagwaan Bhaji Levaa." The evening was capped with the launching of the Golden Jubilee of Bal Mandal and an award ceremony for achievements in the Satsang Exams. All who attended were treated to a "candle-light" dinner due to the loss of power from a thunderstorm.
