Hindu scriptures have described
nine different ways to offer devotion to God, but among these,
the scriptures have also said "Kalau Kirtanaat." In other
words, in Kali Yug, kirtan bhakti is the best way to offer
devotion to God.
Devotees in Orlando offered
their devotion in this manner in a special Kirtan Aaradhana
at the Bob Carr Center for Performing Arts. On this auspicious
day of Dev Shayani Ekadashi, the onset of Chaturmas, saints
sang many different types of kirtans, keeping the assembly
engrossed in God for over two hours.
The Attorney General of the
State of Florida, Hon. Charlie Crist was present during the
Kirtan Aaradhana, and felicitated Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
In his blessings, Swamishri
explained that with this human birth, we must attain the bliss
and abode of God and liberate our souls. This can be done
by taking refuge in God, developing faith in God, and abiding
by His wishes.
