On Kishore-Kishori Din in Houston, members of the Southwest Kishore Mandal highlighted several qualities of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the guru parampara, and Swamishi through a special awards ceremony.

After conducting a kirtan aradhana, kishores started off the ceremony by recognizing Shri Harikrishna Maharaj's limitless compassion with the "Karuna Na Sagar Award".

They then brought murtis of Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj into the assembly on palkis during a dance to "Akshar Purushottam Upasana ne Kaaj," distinguishing Shastriji Maharaj's efforts as the "Adarsh Upasana Pravartak". The "Vatsalya Award" was presented to Yogiji Maharaj, after video clips of his loving nature were shown to the audience.

Finally, kishores offered various awards to Swamishri, while explaining in detail the reasons why he should be recognized as "Adarsh Shishya", "Seva Murti", "Bhakti Swarup", "Aham Sunya Purush", and "Param Hitkari Sant". As a part of the awards ceremony, during the presentation of the "Adarsh Shishya Award", Swamishri was asked to explicate verses from the Bhaktachintamani and narrate an incident in which he gave up his own desires to follow his guru Shastriji Maharaj's wishes. The verse describes how countless devtas act according to the wishes of the true Sant, and Swamishri explained that we should also follow the commands of our guru fully and completely.
