Swamishri possesses the unique
characteristic of being able to mix with all people, whether
child, teenager, youth, adult, or elderly. On Vadil Din, elderly
devotees had the opportunity to experience this phenomenon
first hand.
In the evening program, there
was a special kirtan aradhana organized. Through their exceptional
vocal and musical talent, saints kept the entire audience
focused on the devotion of God. The atmosphere became so festive
that as Swamishri entered the kirtan aradhana assembly, vadils
and kishores started to dance with joy.
After the kirtan aradhana, members
of various Hindu communities described their experiences working
with BAPS during the 2001 Gujarat earthquake relief efforts.
Finally, Swamishri, in his blessings,
explained the importance of kirtan bhakti through historical
and contemporary examples. He also appreciated the collaborative
efforts of different Hindu communities for the earthquake
relief.
