Searching Question Fulfilling Answer
Each person struggles through

live. For some the trials are

overpowering, for others a bored

status quo prevails,and

for a minority mountains are

pounded to dust in

the search for meaning and joy.

Within the invisible depths of

each soul there is a yearning.

A need to know ‘Why?’.

‘Why do we live?’,

‘Why do we experience problems?’,

‘Why are we travellers on the

journey of life?’.

In the search for answers to

their uncertainties many turn to

the God-realised Saint.

Question

Dolatbhai (Devotee) : How can one recognise God?
Answer

Swamishri : Only the Satpurush can help us to recognise God because only he has fully realised Paramatma. The jiva forever questions the actions of God. Because man has the preconception that ‘He is God, so He should be like this...and He shouldn’t be like that...’. But when God incarnates on earth He does so as a normal human being. He behaves just like us, eats as we do, drinks as we do and walks as we do. Only the Satpurush realises His true form and that, ‘whatever God does, he does so for our benefit’. So only the saint can dispel our doubts. We try to discover God with our intelligence and logic but realisation of God is beyond our comprehension. The Saint explains this to us. That’s why Sant samagam is such a necessity. Not just any Sadhu at that, but a Sadhu who has understood the scriptures and who is Brahman. Samãgam of such a Saint is required.
