For decades Swamishri has been

guiding others towards God.

Inspiring them in times of

hardship; consoling them in

times of sadness, he has been a

constant source of light in their

lives when there has been only

engulfing darkness. But what

has been his source of inspiration

over the years? How has he

managed to remain composed

during incidents of both honour

and insult? What drives him to

push himself night and day in the

service of others? Delving into

the depths of his heart we find

the source of his light...

    Question 2
Once, following His evening meal in Bombay ...
Question

Narayanmuni Swami : After Yogi Bapa passed away, did you realise that you’d have to pick up his responsibilities?
Answer

Swamishri : At that time we didn’t have such thoughts. We only thought of Bapa. There were responsibilities, but they could wait.
Question

Everyone says that when Yogi Bapa passed away, you remained calm and consoled everyone, and you took care of the arrangements for everyone who came and went, such as accommodation, food, etc.
Answer

Swamishri : That’s correct. After the cremation things have to be done, don’t they! People have to be consoled and given strength. We had been given the responsibility, so we had to accept that and get on with it! If we did everything like Yogi Bapa did, feed you, call you, joke with you, meet you, then people wouldn’t feel so miserable... Still we have not been able to do as much as he did.
Question

Krishnapriya Swami : Whenever devotees donated money, Yogi Bapa often used to send most of it to Gondal. At the same time you handled the Sanstha’s finances. If a Sadhu from another temple complained to you, did you ever think, ‘Why is Yogi Bapa doing this?’
Answer

Swamishri : No, I never thought that. Everything happens according to his wish, doesn’t it? He looked after everything, so what else was there to worry about? Were such a question raised we were firm in our mind that there was no need to do anything in this matter. If it were his wish to send it to Gondal, then so be it! After all the mandir is ours. Others would become confused by this, but I’ve never had any doubts.
Question

Narayanmuni Swami : After Shastriji Maharaj passed away, you never got to do any personal seva of Yogiji Maharaj. How did you feel about this?
Answer

Swamishri : At that time there were many younger sadhus and I’d be involved in another seva. If we did go to help Swami get up, then even he’d feel the same way and tell me to leave it. That’s all due to his wish. I never felt in my mind that I never got to do his personal seva. Besides he used to call us, sit with us and give us darshan; that’s all a type of personal seva, isn’t it!
Question

When Sant Swami first heralded you as Pragat Brahmaswarup, what was your first wish?
Answer

Swamishri : What else could we wish for? It was our great fortune that we had been entrusted this seva and we had to do it. We wished that we could do the seva properly and that we would be able to please everyone; that we could please Maharaj and Swami.
Question

Krishnapriya Swami : After Shastriji Maharaj passed away Yogiji Maharaj was with you. But both of them had different natures and characters. Despite this did you get the same bliss from Yogiji Maharaj as you did from Shastriji Maharaj?
Answer

Swamishri : Yes. I never thought in my mind, ‘Why am I not getting any bliss?’
Question

Kothari Bhaktipriya Swami : When devotees donated money which temple would Shastriji Maharaj prefer to send it to?
Answer

Swamishri : He favoured Sarangpur. Nirgun Swami and many would tell him that the dome in Bochasan was still incomplete, and there were so many other jobs to be finished. Swami would reply, ‘Charotar is big and it’s easy to find donors there. There are no devotees here.’ So he’d send the money to Sarangpur. Nirgun Swami would complain but at the same time if a devotee gave money, he’d go straight to Shastriji Maharaj and show him. Even if someone donated cloth, he’d ask, ‘Where do you want to send this?’ If Swami said ‘Bochasan’ only then would he send it there. Although in fact there was a greater need for money in Sarangpur and so it would be sent to Sarangpur. However, when the Atladra temple was under construction he gave special attention to that and he did the same during the construction of the temple in Gadhada.
Question

Rameshbhai Dave : Shastriji Maharaj was able to give equal bliss to everyone. We’ve seen it in Yogiji Maharaj and we can see it today. How does such ability to do this come?
Answer

Swamishri : It’s God’s power and God gives it. God is here and so He gives every type of bliss.
