  • 2 Oct 99: Saturday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 2), Jinja, Kakira
    Swamishri performed murti-pratishtha of the murtis of Hanumanji and Ganpatiji at the Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Mandir, Jinja. In the evening an exclusive assembly of devotees and invitees of Madhvani group was held at Kakira.
  • 5 Oct. 99: Tuesday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 11), Eldoret
    After his morning puja Swamishri walked to the nearby Ramghadiya Gurudwara and paid respects and reverence to Guru Granthsahib. Then Swamishri visited the Gurudwara of Khalsa sect. In the evening assembly a kirtan-bhakti program was performed by sadhus.
  • 6 Oct. 99: Wednesday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 12), Kakamega, Kisumu
    Swamishri arrived at Kakamega and was welcomed at the home of Shri Narsinhbhai Patel. A grand feast of food items (annkut) was prepared by the women’s wing. Swamishri performed the annkut arti. After the evening assembly at Kakamega, Swamishri travelled 30 kms to Kisumu and was welcomed by 250 devotees.
  • 8 Oct. 99: Friday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 14), Kisumu
    The evening assembly was charged with devotion through a kirtan-bhakti program by sadhus.
  • 9 Oct. 99: Saturday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 30), Kisumu
    A Fuldol festival (Festival of colors) was organised in the beautiful gardens of the Yatch Club by the shores of Lake Victoria. Swamishri sprinkled colored water on more than 250 devotees. In the evening assembly 120 youths had pledged to give up addictions. As a symbol of their commitment Swamishri was offered a special garland.
  • 11 Oct. 99: Monday (V.S. 2055, Aso Sud 2), Nakuru
    Swamishri installed the canvas murtis of Akshar Purushottam, Radha Krishna and Guru parampara (formerly at the old A.P. Mandir in Nairobi) with Vedic rites at the mandir in Nakuru.
  • 13 Oct. 99: Wednesday (V.S. 2055, Aso Sud 4), Nairobi
    Swamishri left Nakuru at 10.00 am and reached Nairobi by noon. A kirtan-bhakti program was performed by sadhus in the evening assembly.
  • 15 Oct. 99: Friday (V.S. 2055, Aso Sud 6), Nairobi
    A ‘Parents Day’ program was arranged in the evening assembly.

  • While having dinner Swamishri talked about the importance of Vachanamritam Gadhada Section III, 11, ‘Sitaji na jevi samjannu’, "Maharaj has talked about the understanding of Sitaji. Without any fault of hers she had to go through a lot of troubles and discomfort yet Sitaji never criticized or found fault in God. "Firstly, when Ravan kidnapped her she did not even look at him to preserve her fidelity. Even during her stay in Lanka she had not looked at another man or the city of gold. She only remembered and chanted the name of Ram. This is true fidelity (pativrata)..."

7 Oct. 99: Thursday (V.S. 2055, Bhadarva Vad 13), Kisumu

  • Swamishri, during his address to the youths of Kisumu, advised, "It was the wish of Yogiji Maharaj that if the youths are awake and wedded to Satsang then there will be a better society. You must remember that whatever you do in Satsang is to please Shriji Maharaj and for one’s salvation and not for praise or appreciation... Yogiji Maharaj gave the formula of unity and harmony. If you have harmony, friendliness and unity then you can accomplish whatever work you wish... Here in Satsang the fruits of a minor or major seva are the same. Firstly, if your faith and observance of moral codes is firm and unswerving then others will have trust in you. Secondly, you should attend the weekly Sunday assembly, do your puja daily, come for mandir darshan and regularly read the Vachanamrit and Swami ni Vato..."
  Gems From Swamishri :
  • The whole world needs harmony, friendliness and unity. (Samp, Suhradbhav, Ekta). Every person needs it. Politics needs it and society too needs it. And we especially need it because we have come for moksha.
  • One should have an eye for glory (mahima). If someone scolds you then don’t bring it to mind. Say sorry or Jay Swaminarayan and like a line in water, forget it.
  • Success lies in having single faith and refuge in God and doing whatever the holy sadhu says. The Pandavas faced insurmountable difficulties and obstacles but still they survived and were redeemed. They triumphed in the Mahabharat war and earned the grace of God.
