* Jalamsinh Bapu of Ghodasar

Bhagwan Swaminarayan (Shriji Maharaj) went to Ghodasar at the devotional request of Jalamsinh Bapu - the chief of Ghodasar village. Maharaj went around the entire village so that people could have His darshan. Thereafter, He went to the darbar of Jalamsinh Bapu. Lunch was served to Maharaj, sadhus and all the devotees. Then Maharaj called Jalamsinh Bapu and told him, "We wish to perform a big yagna in Dabhan and there are evil people who wish to create trouble and obstruct it. We wish that you bring your men to provide security for the yagna." Jalamsinh Bapu was extremely pleased to offer his services for Maharaj and willingly replied, "Maharaj, I have 100,000 expert men who weild the bow and arrow. They never miss their target."
"I want only 1,500 of your men because we have also invited darbars and other brave men for security," Maharaj answered.
Jalamsinh Bapu told his subordinate to ready 1,500 fully armed men and instruct them to leave for Dabhan.
Shriji Maharaj was pleased at the devotion of of Jalamsinh Bapu, who was a very courageous devotee. The yagna at Dabhan was successfully completed with the powerful security provided by Jalamsinh Bapu's 1,500 archers.
