Children's Day
- Swamishri performed
the foundation-stone laying rituals for a Hari mandir
in Udhna.
- In the afternoon
a special women's program was organized.
- In the evening,
during the Children's Day program a drama inspiring children
to excel in their school studies 'Ajab gajab no jadu'
was enacted by children and volunteers. A speech on 'Regularities
in studies' was delivered by a child.
Finally, Swamishri blessed the assembly.

2 January
2003 (V.S. 2059, Magshar vad 30) Thursday, Surat; Kishore
Day
In the Kishore Day
assembly, a traditional dance was performed by kishores.
Thereafter, kishores who have remained steadfast in niyams
were introduced. Then a drama 'Patelnu Hatanu' explaining
the need to prioritize moksha in one's life was performed.
Finally, Swamishri blessed the assembly.

A symbolic Joli-Uttarayan
festival was held in the presence of Swamishri. After a traditional
dance by balaks and kishores a drama ' Samarpan' was performed
by kishores and yuvaks. Then Swamishri blessed the Satsang
assembly.

2003 (V.S. 2059, Posh sud 4) Monday, Navsari,
Tankal, Donja, Sarvani-Vandarvela, Chikhli, Bilimora, Khaparvada,
Kosamba(Tithal)
Swamishri had a hectic
schedule of visiting eight villages.
- At 9.10 a.m., Swamishri
departed from Navsari and arrived at Tankal at 9.35 a.m.
Swamishri's car stopped on the outskirts of the village
and observed the land donated for a Hari mandir. After
giving flowers to be showered on the land to the devotees,
Swamishri departed.
- At 10.05 a.m., Swamishri
arrived in Donja. Swamishri performed pujan and arti of
the renovated Hari mandir dedicated for the women devotees.
An assembly was held and Swamishri blessed the devotees.
- At Sarvani-Vandarvela,
Swamishri performed pujan and arti of murtis at the Hari
mandir and then attended the Satsang assembly.
- At 5.00 p.m.,
Swamishri departed from Sarvni-Vandarvela and stopped
enroute to bless the devotees of Khudvel, Khambda and
Golvad villages. At Chikhli Swamishri blessed a devotee.
- At 6.00 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived at Bilimora. Swamishri perform pujan
and arti at the Hari mandir and gave a discourse to devotees.
- At 6.40 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived at Khaparvada. Swamishri performed arti
and pujan of murtis in the Hari mandir. Swamishri blessed
the assembly and departed at 7.40 p.m.
- At 8.20 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived at the Swaminarayan Mandir in Kosamba
(Tithal).

At 6.00 p.m. a symbolic
Joli-Uttarayan assembly was held in the presence of Swamishri.
28,000 devotees attended the assembly.
- 10 January
2003 (V.S. 2059, Posh sud 8) Friday, Selvas
At 10.30 a.m., Swamishri
inaugurated the BAPS 'Pramukh Swami Institute of Information
Technology' (PIIT). As part of its educational services the
BAPS has built a modern institute to provide computer education
for tribal children. After performing the curtain raising
ceremony of a plaque, Swamishri and dignitaries inaugurated
the PIIT. Thereafter, Swamishri sanctified the various departments
of the institute.
In the inaugural assembly, Pujya Viveksagar Swami gave an
introduction about the BAPS educational and tribal uplift
activities. Thereafter Swamishri blessed the assembly, "When
a person is educated, he can properly serve the society, country
and religion. Along with education children should also be
provided with values..."

In the evening assembly
a symbolic Joli-Uttarayan festival was celebrated. More than
10,500 devotees had attended.

2003 (V.S. 2059, Posh sud 11) Tuesday, Mumbai; Joli-Uttarayan
In the evening, Swamishri
attended the Joli-Uttarayan festival. Pujya Viveksagar Swami
explained the importance of Makar Sankranti as a day of earning
spiritual merits through donations. The festival climaxed
with Swamishri's blessings, 'Shriji Maharaj has preached in
the Vachanamrut that one should surrender one's wealth, home
and family in the service of God. Whatever we have belongs
to God, but we find this difficult to believe. And so we believe
that it all belongs to us. But God has blessed us with this
human body and intelligence. God has placed copper on earth,
and we extract it and earn money; this money belongs to God.
One gets this understanding by doing satsang ..."
