                  Jayanti Festival and Completion of 700 Sadhus (diksha ceremony) 
                  
 
                   
                  
                    - In the morning 
                      Swamishri visited Yogi Smruti Mandir for darshan and blessed 
                      the sadhus by instructing all on how to scale the 
                      heights of saintliness that Yogiji Maharaj lived and preached.
 
                    - Swamishri fulfilled the desire 
                      of Yogiji Maharaj to initiate 700 sadhus. 
                      Swamishri gave sadhu and parshad dikshas to 31 youths and 
                      blessed the assembly.

                  After visiting Akshardham 
                  on 27 May, the Vice president of India Shri Bhaironsinh Shekhavat 
                  arrived at 12.20 p.m. in Gondal for darshan of Thakorji and 
                  Swamishri. Pujya Kothari Swami and Pujya Viveksagar Swami welcomed 
                  him with garlands and then led him for darshan to Akshar Deri. 
                  Thereafter the Vice president met Swamishri who welcomed him 
                  with a garland. Swamishri then, after performing pujan of Shri 
                  Harikrishna Maharaj, applied a chandlo on Shri Shekhavat and 
                  tied an auspicious thread on his wrist. Swamishri also welcomed 
                  Shri Ashokbhai Bhatt, Shri Vallbhbhai Kathiriya and others. 
                  The Vice President shared his impressions about his recent visit 
                  to Dwarika, Somnath and the Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, 
                  London. Shri Shekhavat praised Swamishri's accomplishment in 
                  initiating 700 educated sadhus for the service of society. 
                  Swamishri explained the glory of Yogiji Maharaj and the divinity 
                  of Akshar Deri. 
                  The Vice President departed at 1.00 p.m. When the All India 
                  Radio reporter asked him about his impression after his meeting 
                  with Swamishri he said, "I feel that my pilgrimage has 
                  been completed by having the darshan of Swamishri. I experienced 
                  a lot of peace. And I would like to say to everyone that two 
                  days earlier Pramukh Swamiji initiated 700 sadhus here. And 
                  there cannot be a greater gift to society then that."
