Swamishri performs arti of the deities at the Sanskardham
    • 23 March 2005 (V.S. 206, Fagan sud 13) Wednesday, Surendranagar, Rangpur, Sarangpur
      • In the evening, Swamishri departed from Surendranagar towards Sarangpur. On arriving at the outskirts of Acharda, the local Darbars were waiting by the roadside. Swamishri stopped to bless them. Further, on arriving at Chachana village, the entire village folks had gathered for Swamishri’s darshan. Swamishri halted and accepted their garlands. Proceeding ahead Swamishri sang the arti and ashtaks in the car. The next stop was at Rangpur village. Swamishri performed the pujan and arti rituals of the murtis at the newly inaugurated BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir. After sanctifying the mandir with holy flower petals Swamishri attended the satsang assembly arranged on the village outskirts. After accepting the formal honours, Swamishri blessed the assembly, “Through the grace of God, your devotion and love a mandir has been built. The mandir belongs to all because God belongs to all. There are no distinctions of caste or colour. Those who worship Him, He belongs to them. The sun, rain, trees and rivers are for all people. They do not segregate anyone.”
      • At 8.00 pm Swamishri departed from Rangpur and arrived, after a tiring schedule, in Sarangpur at 8.35 pm. He was welcomed by the tunes played by BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir Band. After having Thakorji’s darshan Swamishri briefly blessed the satsangi devotees.

Swamishri with sadhus, parshads and sadhaks
    • 24 March 2005 (V.S. 2061, Fagan sud 14) Thursday, Sarangpur
In the evening, Swamishri blessed the assembly of 4,500 volunteers who would be engaged in various services during the Fuldol celebration two days later. Swamishri said, “Whatever duties that are assigned to you must be fulfilled… This service that you have got is very rare. In the services done for society one gets name and fame. One benefits in all ways, in money, but the benefit of this service is very great. To do according to the word of Maharaj and Swami is very important… When God becomes happy then there is nothing comparable to that…”
Finally, Swamishri showered holy coloured water on sadhus and volunteers. The assembly concluded at 7.30 pm.
Thereafter Swamishri, who had contracted a malarial fever, retired to his room.
    • 26 March 2005 (V.S. 2061, Fagan vad 1) Saturday, Sarangpur, Fuldol
Today, Swamishri was weak and pale. He still had a fever. With over 47,000 devotees having gathered for the Fuldol festival Swamishri arrived in the assembly hall at 10.30 am. He initiated thirteen youths into the parshad diksha. Then after colouring Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, Swamishri showered holy coloured water on the senior sadhus and devotees. At 11.10 am Swamishri departed from the festival venue.
By evening Swamishri’s fever subsided and in the next few days he recovered quickly.

           Spiritual Dialogue
    • 21 March 2005 (V.S. 2061, Maha sud 11) Thursday, Surendranagar

A few youths from America, travelling with Swamishri, asked Swamishri a few questions.

Hari (N.J.): You have been blessed by two great people (satpurush) – Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj. Which Satpurush are we blessed with?
Swamishri: The same. How can there be any other? Whether you say Shastriji Maharaj or Yogiji Maharaj, are they different? Shriji Maharaj resides in them. They are Gunatit. They look different but their atma (chaitanya) is one. The same qualities of Maharaj are in Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj. Though they look different, in essence, they are Maharaj. Since they have the qualities of God they are the forms of God.

Jayesh (Jersey): We have not seen Shriji Maharaj. We have not seen the form of Maharaj, so when we meditate on whom should we meditate?
Swamishri: Everyone is included by meditating on and remembering Yogiji Maharaj. Whichever form one attains and loves, in that form God resides fully. So by meditating and remembering him, Maharaj is not being relegated. God is one, and He resides in and works through all. By having affection for Yogiji Maharaj, is the same as having affection for Maharaj. So he enjoins us in that form (Maharaj).

Vrajesh (Chicago): Sometimes there is a feeling of void in doing devotion and service. How can we remain enthusiastic and fresh in faith?
Swamishri: Are you not enthusiastic about worldly things? After seeing a worldly thing once, you still see it ten more times. The joy in seeing it each time is the same. The same men play cricket. Is there anything new in it? But you find it new and exciting all the time. Even in food, though it is the same you find it interesting. You always experience joy in it. Similarly, you should have same feelings for God’s discourses. When you are inclined towards food you find it tasty! Likewise, you should find God to be joyful and new.

             Consolidating Spiritual Faith
    • 22 March 2005 (V.S. 2061, Magshar sud 12) Tuesday, Surendranagar

A devotee telephoned Swamishri and expressed his fears about his dying wife, “Swamishri, the doctors have lost hope for my wife and say that now everything is in God’s hands. Do shower your blessings so that she recovers.”

Swamishri replied, “You should accept whatever God wishes. The human body is perishable. It will die at any time. Believe it to be Maharaj’s wish and remain happy. Presently, your wife is going through pain and suffering, so if she goes to God’s abode she will be happier. You are a spiritually knowledgeable person. You have satsang in your soul and your wife too has satsang in her life. She will become engaged in the service of Maharaj in Akshardham. When the doctors have lost hope there is no need to think otherwise. Have patience and faith. Maharaj is the all-doer. Whatever He does will be for the best.”

Swamishri consolidated the spiritual faith of the devotee to enable him to accept the reality of life.
