      Living with Swamishri :

    17 March 2000 (Fagan Sud 12, V.S. 2056) Friday, Gandhinagar

    • This morning a devotee introduced his friend to Swamishri and said, "His father was highly respected and famous in Gandhinagar. The people of Gandhinagar had attended his father's funeral procession." As the conversation progressed, Swamishri learnt that the well-wisher had an addiction to liquor. Swamishri advised him, "You should preserve the values your father lived and was famous for. Alcohol is a sin. You must get rid of it..." The well-wisher pledged to give up his drinking habit.

17 March, 2000 Devotion to Thakorji, Gandhinagar

    • This evening, Swamishri was on his way to the assembly hall. The procession to honor Lord Harikrishna Maharaj was all ready. Four teenage members were holding a palanquin in which the small murti of Lord Harikrishna Maharaj had been placed. On seeing the murti, Swamishri immediately turned towards the palanquin, took off his slippers, touched the feet of the Lord and placed a flower at His holy feet. Devotion and affinity for the Lord is a natural, fluent part of Swamishri's life.

18 March 2000 Faith and Effort Recognized Gandhinagar, Sarangpur

    • Swamishri departed from Gandhinagar at 5.00 p.m. On the way to Sarangpur Swamishri saw 30 youths who had embarked upon a pilgrimage by running from Amdavad to Sarangpur - 150 kms. Swamishri instructed the driver to stop and then blessed the youths and enquired about the details of the pilgrimage. Swamishri then waited to bless four youths who were at the rear of the group. However on seeing that they were too far behind Swamishri had his car reversed and blessed the elated youths. Swamishri appreciated and recognized the effort and devotion of the youths.

29 March Honouring the Champions, Sarangpur

    • This evening, Swamishri visited the mandir's 'Yagnapurush Gaushala' (cattle shed). Before arriving there Swamishri asked for some garlands because he wished to honor the domestic animals who had won national awards in a recent competition in New Delhi. Swamishri blessed and garlanded the bull, Nagnath, who had claimed the Bharat Kesari award - the highest honor in the national competition. Then Swamishri garlanded Manidhar, the father of Nagnath and a former national award winner, who has been sick since several months. Swamishri sprinkled holy water on Manidhar, prayed and blessed him for an early liberation. While individually blessing all the award winning animals, Swamishri, at one point waited for more garlands to arrive in order to honour them.
      Gems From Swamishri :
    • Whatever you attain through righteousness and effort will give you absolute happiness and peace.
    • Talk about the glory and virtues of others and you will experience peace in life.
    • Gunatitanand Swami says that one should turn blind, deaf and cripple. By not seeing another's (faults) actions means turning blind. By not listening to (derogatory) talks about another means turning deaf. We have not come to see what someone else is doing. God is there to see over others.
