Swamishri performed the murti pratishtha ceremony of Akshar Purushottam Maharaj,
Radha Krishna Dev, Guruparampara, Ganapatiji and Hanumanji. The mandir for the
murtis is as yet to be built. Till then to satisfy and enhance the devotion of
the devotees the murtis will be worshipped at a devotee's home. - 2

- At 10.00am Swamishri
visited the mandir site at Lointon Beach and performed the ground breaking ceremony
for the mandir. After arti Swamishri performed dhun for the quick construction
of the mandir.
- In the evening assembly
Lord Harikrishna Maharaj was honored by the devotees. And the Mayor of Boynton
Beach, Mr. Gerald Broening, welcomed Swamishri and presented a 'Key to the City'.
In his brief welcome address he said, "... I present the Key for the values
Swamiji represents".
The president of Florida Atlantic University, Dr.
Strong, said, "... The students from India are the very best, winning many
awards. I believe our reason for this is the excellent moral training they have
been receiving in their home country. The presence of Swamiji here inspires everyone
for the religious traditions that he holds ... I am proud to present a plaque
here to Swamiji." - 4

Swamishri performed the murti pratishtha ceremony at the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir,
Jersey city. More than 470 devotees had participated in the Vedic ceremony. - 10

The day was dedicated to Karyakar Din (volunteers' day). In the evening assembly
programs related to the services of volunteers were presented before Swamishri. - 13

The Sharad Punam festival was celebrated at the Edison mandir in the evening.
During the assembly the president of Queens International Club, Mr. John Hogan,
said, "I am really happy to be here with you all this evening. I can see
the wonderful work being done here ... The thing that inspires me the most is
that everything here is done so cooperatively. The people in the parking lot,
the kitchen and everywhere are so nice. You don't see that kind of thing anywhere.
I would like the people at large to see all this being done here." Mr.
Hogan then honored Swamishri by presenting the 'Person of the Century' plaque.
Then a colorful, festive procession of the murti of Gunatitanand Swami was carried
out in celebration of Sharad Punam festival. - 14

Swamishri's morning puja
was decorated with divas. At 12 noon an Annakut had been devotionally arranged
before the Lord. Swamishri sang the thaals and performed the Annakut arti.
In the evening assembly Senator Mr. John Corzine offered his respects to Swamishri
with a bouquet. During his blessings Swamishri said, "Discord and unhappiness
arise when one does not understand religion. Because of our mundane inclinations
we do not understand the spiritual instruction and words of our divine master.
... Lord Swaminarayan has said righteous living is dharma. Live morally and peacefully." - 15

- More than 450 devotees had participated in the
maha-puja ceremony of the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new mandir
in Detroit. More than 2,5000 people had gathered for the assembly that followed.
- In the evening assembly the Kenton City Supervisor,
Mr. Tom Yack, read and presented a proclamation to Swamishri.
