Introduction

Shastriji Maharaj (Shastri Yagnapurushdas) founded the

Bochasanwasi Shree Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha

in 1907. Through his divine personality, powerful insight, and

unflagging effort, he established the Vedic tradition of Bhakta and

Bhagwan as preached by Lord Swaminarayan in the

Swaminarayan Sampradaya. By first installing the murtis of

Akshar and Purushottam in the main sanctum of the mandir in

Bochasan he fulfilled the dream of Lord Swaminarayan and thus

paved the way to eternal moksha.
