     Vastu Yagna of mandir
    • 30 April 2006 (V.S. 2062, Vaishakh sud 3) Sunday, Junagad
This morning, from 9.00 am to 12 noon, the mandir prasad pravesh rituals were performed beneath the mandir dome by Dr Swami.
In the evening assembly Swamishri and senior sadhus honoured all those who had helped in the mandir project. More than 960,000 man-hours of voluntary of effort had gone into the mandir construction project. Mahamandaleshwar Pujya Bharati Bapu and Shri Shernath Bapu of Nath Sampraday also presided over the assembly.
Pujya Bharati Bapu said, “Pramukh Swami is the pride of the world and the entire sadhu samaj. I have been to the Sanstha’s mandirs in London, America and others. I feel they are the descension of God’s infinite powers. Today Girnar is also fortunate because a mandir has been built in its lap. It is a mandir the entire sadhu samaj and the country can be proud of. Our country is fortunate that from time to time great sadhus are born. Today, when people have become slaves to addictions, when destruction is ongoing, Pramukh Swami is a ray of hope. Pramukh Swami has spread the glory of Sanatan Dharma.”
The mandir was built through Swamishri’s inspiration and guidance and through the efforts of Akshaymuni Swami, Sanjay Parikh and members of the BAPS Planning Cell. The efforts of the residing kothari, Dharmakirti Swami, Uttamcharan Swami and sadhus of Junagadh are laudable.

           Honest and Humble Way
    • 7 May 2006, Gondal
“Should I go into politics?” a youth asked Swamishri.
“What do you want to be?” Swamishri enquired.
“A minister,” the youth replied confidently.
“Not a minister, but a Prime Minister,” Swamishri added tellingly. “If you become a Prime Minister then it would be worth the while. Because when you become a minister, no one may respect you or ask of you later. So if you want to be a minister then be a Prime Minister.”
“I want to be a Health Minister,” the youth trumpeted further.
“First, study properly and then think about becoming a minister. But bear in mind if you are going to extort money then don’t go into politics. Never take another’s money (by corruption). Earn through your own sweat and toil, but never through deceptive or corruptive ways.”
Swamishri agreed to the youth’s wish, but with the requisite of being honest.
When the youth left, a satsangi youth, Jitu Patel, went to Swamishri and enthusiastically said, “I want to be a big, big sevak.” Jitu thought that Swamishri would be happy at the idea of becoming a sevak (humble servant). Swamishri perceived the resonance of ego in the youth’s words and answered, “There is no question of becoming ‘great’ at all. One should always become the smallest of sevaks. By saying a ‘great’ sevak, it reflects one’s ego.”

             Pathway to Success
    • 8 May 2006, Gondal
A youth came to seek Swamishri’s blessings because he was setting up a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) production plant. Since it involved a lot of investment he said, “I have come to take your blessings. Whenever I lose hope, I wish your blessings shall be with me.”
Swamishri replied, “God will be with you, if you do what I say.” Then Swamishri added, “Keep your satsang (faith) strong in life. Don’t allow any addictions and bad habits to enter in your life. And do the mala every day. Then God will be with you.”
Swamishri prescribed personal spirituality, no bad habits and chanting God’s holy name for success in life.

             Keys to Concentration
    • 13 May 2006, Gondal
A child student asked Swamishri, “How can I concentrate?”
“Firstly, don’t watch TV. Don’t read anything that is not related to your studies. Do your puja. Give up wandering or seeing that which is unnecessary and pointless. Study properly. If you travel and visit others all through your vacation then you will forget what you have learnt. So pay attention while reading, have restraint (saiyam), and control your eating habits. Do not listen to bad things. This will enable you to concentrate.”
