    Swamishri hails jai of Bhagwan Swaminarayan
    • 18 November 2006 (VS 2063, Kartak vad 13) Saturday, Amdavad, Gandhinagar
      At 11.21 am (IST) the flight landed at Sardar Patel International Airport in Amdavad. Swamishri arrived at 12.00 noon at Akshardham in Gandhinagar. After his morning rituals Swamishri performed his puja at 12.40 pm in the mandir assembly hall. Thereafter Swamishri was welcomed with garlands by Ishwarcharan Swami and senior sadhus.

    • 23 November 2006 (VS 2063, Magshar sud 3) Thursday, Gandhinagar
      Swamishri performed the arti of Thakorji on the mandir’s 10th consecration anniversary celebration (patotsav). In the evening assembly Swamishri discoursed about worshipping God from a young age.
       
    • 25 November 2006 (VS 2063, Magshar sud 5) Saturday, Gandhinagar, Bochasan
      At 5.20 pm Swamishri departed from Gandhinagar and arrived in Bochasan at around 7.00 pm. Swamishri arrived on stage for the volunteers’ assembly. The assembly of over 7,000 volunteers was charged by Swamishri’s presence. Swamishri was honoured by the senior sadhus, and thereafter he addressed the volunteers, “We are all very fortunate and blessed to have got the service of the BAPS Centenary Celebration. Shastriji Maharaj built a mandir here in Bochasan and consecrated the murtis of Akshar and Purushottam. He came on earth at Maharaj’s behest and first established this principle in Bochasan. Since that historic day 100 years have passed so quickly. We are blessed to celebrate this occasion today. May all of you serve with enthusiasm and satisfy the thousands of devotees who will come to the festival.”

    To please Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj children, youths and senior devotees perform austerities, pilgrimages or other devotional means. The spiritual endeavors performed by the devotees during Swamishri's visit to the local centers are congratulatory and worthy of recognition. It also reflects Swamishri's divinity for inspiring such spiritual efforts in children, teenagers and devotees.
     

    19 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • About 20 family members of the Shayona group and devotees from Amdavad pilgrimaged 25 km from Amdavad to Gandhinagar.
    • Also, 85 students pilgrimaged from Pethapur, 20 devotees walked from Sardhav (20 km) and several children walked 4 km from Gandhinagar Sectors 23 and 18.

    20 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Eight BAPS teenagers cycled 25 km from Kalol.
    • Thirteen women devotees performed Swaminarayan mantra jaap while walking from Gandhinagar sectors 5, 13, 7 and 14.
    • Fourteen devotees pilgrimaged 7 km by foot.
    • Twenty women devotees pilgrimaged by foot from Sectors 3, 4, 6, Kirtidham and Hari Nagar.

    21 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Sixty-two devotees and children pilgrimaged 25 km by foot from Kalol,
    • 11 women devotees from GEB walked 7 km,
    • 10 women devotees walked 10 km from Vavol,
    • 14 women devotees walked from Sector 29.
    • Forty-two women devotees and 37 children walked 7 km from Sector 27, and 30 women devotees chanted Janmangal Namavali while they walked from sector 2.
    • A woman devotee chanted Janmangal Namavali 25 times, performed 208 panchang pranams and did 11 malas.
    • Fourteen devotees pilgrimaged by foot from Nardipur village in Kalol region.
    • Thirty women devotees walked from Sectors 1, 2, 7 and 8.
    • Raghavbhai Bharatbhai performed dandvats from Sector 21.
    • Bhavik Bharat Patel of ninth grade performed 525 dandvats.
    • Jiten Parmar, a child, chanted Janmangal Namavali 21 times and observed a liquid fast.
    • Thirteen- and fourteen-year-olds Punam Parmar, Alpesh and Sanjay performed dandvats for 4½ km from Pethapur.
    • Ashok Patel pilgrimaged by foot.
    • Gautam Patel, Jivraj Patel, Gambhirji Mistry of Gandhinagar pilgrimaged by foot from Amdavad mandir.

    22 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Women devotees pilgrimaged 24 km by foot from Mansa.
    • For Swamishri’s good health 50 women devotees observed waterless fasts.
    • Kiranben Mehta pilgrimaged 6 km by foot daily from Sector 24.
    • Gajendrasinh Bihola walked 45 km from Vijapur.
    • Devotees pilgrimaged 24 km by foot from Mansa and Sector 24.

    23 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Six males, eight females and two children pilgrimaged 18 km by foot from Khoraj in Koba region, and five devotees from Navapura.
    • Eight women devotees walked 7 km from Sector 5.
    • The Gandhinagar yuvati mandal performed 12 hours of mala jap – totally doing 21,786 malas.
    • Three women devotees pilgrimaged by foot and chanted the Swaminarayan mantra from GEB.

    27 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Swamishri blessed 186 children students of Swaminarayan Vidyalay, Sarangpur, for pilgrimaging by foot from Sarangpur.
    • Thirty-three youths pilgrimaged by running 486 km in relay from Junagadh.

    28 November 2006, Gandhinagar

    • Twenty-one devotees of Devgadh Bariya region pilgrimaged 150 km by foot.
    • Ten devotees and seven youths of Rabod region pilgrimaged 150 km by foot.
    • Thirty youths pilgrimaged 150 km by foot from Panchmahal, Lunavada and Naroda.
