BAPS Education & Career Development Fair at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta

The Education and Career Development Seminar was held on September 12, 2009 from 9 am to 5 pm at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Lilburn, GA. Attended by over 250 students and parents, the education seminar aimed to inform the participants on all aspects of the education system, from junior high school to post-graduate institutions.

Speakers in the morning and afternoon sessions discussed a variety of topics aimed to educate the students, who were divided into three tracks: 8th and 9th grade, 10th and 11th grade, and undergraduate school. The attendees also had an opportunity to visit informational booths with professionals and college representatives.

The seminar included sessions on the college application process, gaining admission into the best colleges, preparing for college in high school, and getting scholarships and financial aid. Representatives from various universities were on hand to distribute information and answer questions.

The parents who attended left better prepared to help guide their children and the student left empowered and energized to tackle their respective education and career goals.
